History

We keep growing…

The Bromley Belles was set up in March 2018 after founder, Andrea contacted Bromley FC about running some football for older women. Andrea had played in her younger years, but, like most women of her generation had not had a chance later on in life to participate in football in a fun, sociable and non-judgmental environment.

With the support of Bromley FC the first session saw 12 ladies attending, all sharing the same passion for football.  Two years on and the club has grown from strength to strength with now over 40 women registered as Belles. As at the beginning, the main aim of the Bromley Belles has always been to provide older women in the local area an opportunity to play football in an inclusive, friendly and fun environment with like-minded women. Our Belles range in age from 30 to over 60, proving that you are never too old to take up something new.

Training is every week and is led by our fantastic FA qualified coach, Kaiyo who has been with the Belles for over a year.  Sessions are fun, inclusive and engaging. Our ladies are a range of different abilities with some having played before but the majority joined having never kicked a ball. We don’t only train but have also taken part in numerous tournaments and competitions with other Women’s recreational football teams across the country and in Europe

We are affiliated to Bromley FC and are proud to be part of their growing community programme.
