Bromley Belles return to training next month for their second full season but how did it all start?
Set up in March 2018 with the support of Bromley FC the Bromley Belles started with just twelve women aged over 30 turning up to the first ever training session. Over a year later the Belles now have over 30 women registered with the club, hold weekly training sessions run by a FA qualified coach and regularly attend tournaments including the inaugural ‘Old Girls World Cup’ in France.
The main aim of the Belles is to provide women aged over 30 an opportunity to play recreational football regardless of ability, age or previous experience whilst also having fun and making new friends.
With the average age of the Belles in their forties for many this has been their first experience of playing football and we are always looking for new players to come and join our team. If you think you would like to get fit, learn how to play football and join a friendly, sociable group of women then the Belles is for you! Everyone is welcome to attend training sessions which start on Wednesday 4th September from 9-10pm on the 3G pitch to the right of the new stand.
Thanks to Bromley FC and the National League Trust, sessions are free.
